No. Once your athlete is registered with T-Birds, they cannot be registered with any other Youth Football & Cheer Organization. You can find the 2026 EBYFC medical/physical form by clicking here.

Our home Football games will be played at Monte Vista High School in Danville, CA. Please see our Football program info page for a full map of potential Away team locations.

Each season, we play up to 9-10 regular season games and up to 3 Playoff games (Divisional, Semifinals, Finals).

As a Football or Cheer athlete, please expect to play on EITHER a Saturday OR Sunday each weekend during the season. Because of field space and availability, we cannot control how many Saturday or Sunday Home games we play. During the T-Bird season (July to November), you should plan for games on either day.

Our season game schedule will be set by early July 2026 once all EBYFC teams submit roster intents for the upcoming season.

Please be patient as this is a time-consuming process for the EBYFC to coordinate across all 20+ league organizations.

Division FAQs

New in 2026, the East Bay Youth Football & Cheer (EBYFC) league will now operate with (2) divisions: Division I and Division II. Division I will now represent the division formerly known as 'Premier'. Division II will now include both former 'Champion' teams and also all secondary (formerly Development) teams fielded by each organization. Similar to every season, the T-Birds organization is proud to field both Division I and Division II teams based on the number of available athletes and coaches. Division I Football teams are the highest level of competition across the EBYFC league. All EBYFC organizations can field Division II (secondary) teams as they have enough players and coaches. In 2026, there will be (13) Division I teams (including T-Birds) and a to-be-determined number of Division II teams (including T-Birds).

We also are proud to offer T-Bird Division II Football teams in the EBYFC's league. Division II Football is designed for newer players to the game of football. It teaches the basics and fundamentals of the game, this program provides each player more time on the field. Our Division II teams will have the same practice schedule and number of games as our Division I teams. We have many leagues that participate in this program and due to the high demand of field space in our area, most of our developmental games (if not all) will be played at away locations and not at Monte Vista High School.

Football: In 2026, we expect to field (4) Division I teams:

  • Jr. Pee Wee
  • Pee Wee
  • Jr. Varsity
  • Varsity

and (4) Division II teams:

  • Pee Wee - D2
  • Jr. Varsity - D2 #1
  • Jr. Varsity - D2 #2
  • Varsity - D2

-----

Cheer: In 2026, we expect to field (4) Division I teams:

  • Jr. Pee Wee
  • Pee Wee
  • Jr. Varsity
  • Varsity

and (3) Division II teams:

  • Pee Wee - D2
  • Jr. Varsity - D2
  • Varsity - D2

Unlike Football, the difference between Cheer Division I and Division II is not based or skill or expertise. Cheer Division I or Division 2 indicates which Football teams the Cheer squads will follow for games this season.

The number of Division II teams created is based on the number of registered players to support separate teams. In 2025, T-Birds had four Premier (now Division I) Football teams (Jr. Pee Wee, Pee Wee, JV, and Varsity). There were also four Champion (now Division II) Football teams (Pee Wee, JV Blue, JV Silver, Varsity Silver). 7 of those 8 teams made the EBYFC playoffs.

Registration FAQs

We anticipate fielding Division II teams which should greatly limit or eliminate any cuts being made but we cannot guarantee that until we know the number of athletes signed up for each division. Although your player may sign up for a specific division, we reserve the right to place any player on the team the coaches and board feel is the most appropriate. Rules and weight requirements may change before the season starts.

REGISTRATION FEES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

Equipment Your Football Player Will Keep

  • Practice Jersey
  • Muscle Shirt
  • Game Day Hoodie

Equipment You Will Return To The League

  • Helmet
  • Guardian Cap 2.0 (NEW in 2026)
  • Shoulder Pads
  • 1 Reversible Game Jersey and Game Pants
  • Equipment Bag for gear

Please understand that football is a very costly sport and most leagues do not offer refunds because of the very high over head costs associated with the program. If your athlete decides to quit three weeks into practice it does not change the fact that we had to purchase all the jersey’s, clothing, helmets, pads and other costs associated with fielding a player. The registration fee cannot be refunded once your player steps on the field for his/her 1st practice. Participants that quit on their own are not available to receive a refund.

We will offer Football refunds based on the following timeline:

  1. Before 6/1/2026 - $500 ($100 for Jr. Pee Wee)
  2. Refund Before 7/13/2026 - $300 refund ($50 for Jr. Pee Wee)
  3. On or After 7/13/2026 - $0 refund unless the athlete is cut (not quit).

We will offer Cheer refunds based on the following timeline:

  1. Before 6/1/2026 - $400
  2. Refund Before 8/3/2026 - $200 refund
  3. On or After 8/3/2026 - $0 refund.

The exact date and time of T-Birds day will be communicated closer to June 2026.

VOLUNTEER DEPOSIT: $600 VOLUNTEER DEPOSIT WILL BE REQUIRED - PLEASE BRING A CHECK FOR THIS AT T-BIRD DAY. THIS WILL NOT BE CASHED UNLESS VOLUNTEER HOURS ARE NOT COMPLETED BY THE END OF THE SEASON.

Football FAQs

We are anticipating high demand across our T-Birds Football programs, especially at the Jr. Varsity and Varsity levels. We expect to field between 25 to 35 athletes per each of the (8) T-Bird Football teams in 2026.

Football registration will close on or around July 30th, 2026.

Yes, there is a TRYOUT period. Your Registration payment DOES NOT guarantee you a spot on the team. All registrations are subject to approval by San Ramon Valley T-Birds Board of Directors.

Yes. Athletes are welcome to bring their own helmets for the T-Birds season. All T-Bird Helmets must be NAVY in color (not black, not white, etc.). No exceptions.

The helmet must be up-to-date with current EBYFC safety specifications and also be approved by our VP of Operations during T-Birds Day in early July. Please indicate on your registration form If you plan to bring your own helmet for the upcoming season.

Division II Football teams will have the same minimum play rules as Division I (X number of plays total). This allows league teams to fill more Division II team rosters because fulfilling a flat number of total plays per game makes it easier for each Division II coach to balance player rotations.

Yes. Older/Lighter athletes are players who are a league age year older than regular players. They are allowed to play down a division if their weight falls within the weight limit of the Age/Weight Table in the EBYFC Rule Book. Older/Lighter players are NOT allowed to advance in age during the season.

Division II teams will have the exact same rules as Division I teams. This means that Division II teams will can field up to (3) Older / Lighter athletes per team. This (3) number was changed from (5) in 2024 with the 2025 EBYFC rule book addendum.

Cheer FAQs

We are anticipating high demand across our T-Birds Cheer programs. We expect to field between 20 to 25 athletes per each of the (7) T-Bird Cheer squads in 2025.

Cheer registration will close on or around March 30th, 2026. However, we expect high demand for Cheer, which may result in waitlists for the 2026 season. Please ensure you register immediately when registration opens on March 1st, 2026 at 10am PST.

Division I will follow our Division I Football teams.

Division II will follow our Division II Football teams.

Both divisions will have games on Saturday or Sunday each weekend. Please plan accordingly.

We will work with all parents leading up to our first practices to ensure your Cheer athlete is on the team which will set them up for success.

Unfortunately, no - we cannot accommodate placement requests. To create a fair system for all Cheer athletes, we reserve the right to place them with appropriate skill and experience groups for their age level.
