T-Birds Season Details and Football Camp Wrap-up!

Hello, T-Bird Families!

We wanted to extend a warm welcome to all the new T-Bird families who already signed up for the 2026 Football & Cheer season! We are truly excited for you to join the T-Bird family and FLY HIGH with us this season. Please find all past T-Bird newsletters on the News section of our website.

🏈 Football Conditioning Camp Wrap-up

THAT'S A WRAP FOR OUR 2026 T-BIRDS FOOTBALL CAMP! The T-Bird campers ramped WORKED for the past three weeks with T-Bird Coaches and @realnealsports. 

Sending a HUGE thank you to our T-Bird Alumni speakers below. These are an exceptional group of men and it was inspiring to hear how T-Birds shaped their playing careers. Our campers came prepared with questions and inspired by these incredible athletes. They are leading the way for the next generation of T-Bird athletes!

Here are some action highlights from the past three weeks' worth of Camp:

 

🏃 Real Neal Jr. Elite Performance Program @ Blackhawk

If you are looking to keep your T-Bird athlete active through June, our friends at Real Neal Sports host a weekly Jr. Elite Performance Program at Blackhawk Plaza in the CSA Gym. Coach Alonzo, who helped run T-Birds Conditioning Camp, has been incredible with his performance training and works athletes to their full potential. ✍ 2026 Registration

If you enjoyed T-Birds Conditioning Camp and are planning to register for the 2026 Season, please register by Monday, June 1st if you would like your athlete's name on the back of their practice jersey.

If you register after June 1st, they will still be issued a practice jersey at T-Bird Day, but without their last name on it. We expect Football registration to close by June 30th, 2026.

📝 JV Football Waitlist

Since opening registration on March 1st, we are currently oversold for our JV Football program and have been at waitlist only since mid-March. We receive a lot of weekly questions around JV waitlist movement and also the tryout period. Post-Conditioning Camp, we should have a clearer picture for JV waitlist activations by the beginning of June.

Tryout criteria is based on (but not limited to) evaluations on performance, skill, attitude, effort, and attendance. We focus heavily on building these young athletes up into the best versions of themselves to be successful on and off the field. We have week-to-week information on our Football program info and FAQs pages. Because we are oversold for JV, we expect there will be cuts after tryouts this season. We can only evaluate athletes for the days they attend practice. T-Birds Football is a commitment and please plan your Summer accordingly.

💪 Older / Lighters

Older/Lighter players are players who are a league age year older than regular players. They are allowed to play down a division if their weight falls within the weight limit of the Age/Weight Table in the EBYFC Rule Book. Older/Lighter players are NOT allowed to advance in age during the season. Read all about the Older/Lighter program and how we evaluate athletes during practice.


📱 PlayMetrics - Team App

This offseason, we upgraded our registration system to PlayMetrics, which also has a comprehensive suite of team communication and volunteer hour tracking tools. PlayMetrics is the system you registered with for the 2026 Season. Please ensure you have this App installed on your phone. Please ensure that:

  1. You have your Family Contact information set up in the PlayMetrics profile associated with your Football or Cheer Season athlete.
  2. Any secondary family members accepted their PlayMetrics contact invites from you (if applicable).
  3. PlayMetrics will be used for all season communication, replacing TeamSnap. If you are registered for the 2026 Season, your PlayMetrics dashboard will soon show Summer practice schedules.

Below is a rough timeline for the 2026 Preseason activities. Expect dates and times to continue to evolve with field availability. Our T-Birds safety, practice, and participation policy is available here.


🗓️ Season Calendar

T-Bird Games will be played on Saturday OR Sunday every weekend from mid-August to early November. Please plan for either day each weekend as game times and field availability are subject to change.
