T-Birds Football & Cheer: Practice Week #3 Wrap-up

The first three weeks of T-Bird Football & Cheer practice has FLOWN by. We are proud of our T-Bird football athletes making it through the last week of tryouts. We are also proud of our T-Bird Cheer athletes for kicking off the season off in style. This is the first season where we aligned the start of both Football and Cheers practices!

If you took a photo or video of your T-Bird Football or Cheer athlete in the last week, be sure to tag @srvthunderbirds with the hashtag #TBirds2025. We would love to repost photos from your athlete's T-Bird experience!

🏈 Football: What to Know (Week of 8/4)

Upcoming Team Splits & Evaluations:

  • JV Champion draft (Coaches only) will be held on Sunday, August 3rd.
  • On Monday, August 4th (or sooner), JV and Varsity athletes will receive an email from their season's Coach.
  • This season, we expect a minimal amount of cuts across JV and Varsity levels.

Football Team Communication:

  • For the 2025 Football Season, we will be using TeamSnap. T-Birds is working to set up a TeamSnap account for all Football teams. Please start by installing the TeamSnap App on your phone. Your athlete's Coach will continue to use email until T-Birds has the TeamSnap accounts set up next week.

Evaluations are based on several factors including:

  • Attitude & maturity
  • Effort & coachability
  • Tackle football experience

Important Note:

  • If your child is not placed on a Premier team, it does not mean they won’t become a top player in the future. Kids develop at different rates, and we want to place them where they’ll get meaningful reps, build confidence, and continue growing in the sport. Thanks for being part of this journey with us!

📣 Cheer: What to Know (Week of 8/4)

Cheer Camp is this week!

📣 Wednesday, August 6th - Thursday, August 7th (JPW/PW: 9am - 12pm; JV/Varsity: 1pm - 4pm)

Location: California Spirit Elite - 6800 Sierra Ct., Suite P - Dublin, CA

Get ready to jump into the season with energy and enthusiasm at Cheer Camp! Please refer to your cheer coaches for more details.

Regular practice schedule @ Monte Vista Commons is also ON as normal:

  • Premier Cheer: Tuesday, 8/5 and Thursday, 8/7 (6pm - 8pm)
  • Champion Cheer: Wednesday, 8/6 (6pm - 8pm)
  • What to Wear: Please wear cheer/tennis shoes, comfortable pants/bike shorts, tank/shirt, hair in a pony tail, bring poms, and water to every practice.

🏈 Saturday, August 9th

T-Birds Football Jersey, Pants, and Equipment Bag pick-up
Location: Monte Vista Practice Fields (Times will be shared by your Coaches this week).

Football athletes will pick up their game jerseys, pants, and equipment bag for the season. Your Coaches will reach out this week to record your athlete's top 3 jersey preferences before uniform distribution day. Please note: Your athlete may not get their first choice. We only have so many size and number combinations. In addition, offensive interior lineman for PW, JV, and Varsity levels are required to wear numbers 50-79. Eligible numbers do not apply to Jr. Pee Wee. Your Coach will provide more info this week.

Looking for Volunteer Hours? Sign up to be a Volunteer at T-Birds Football Uniform Distribution day! So that we can better track your hours, please ensure your POINT profile has your FIRST and LAST NAME with your athletes' names in parentheses. For example, in your POINT profile, add your athletes' names to the LAST NAME field: Jennifer Smith (Jessie, Johnny)

T-Birds Football & Cheer Pep Rally
Location: Monte Vista Practice Fields (6PM - 8PM)

  


Note: Final EBYFC League schedule is still pending and will be shared as soon as it is finalized. Please see earmarked dates below to plan (minus location and time). Each team will play at most once per weekend on a Saturday or Sunday.
