Happy Registration Week, T-Bird Families!

We wanted to extend a warm welcome to all the new T-Bird families who already signed up for the 2026 Football & Cheer season! We are truly excited for you to join the T-Bird family and FLY HIGH with us this season. Please find all past T-Bird newsletters on the News section of our website.

🚨 2026 Registration is now OPEN!

T-Birds registration is OPEN as of this past Sunday, March 1st. Our Football and Cheer teams are filling up FAST in the first week. We expect waitlists across all Football & Cheer levels as we approach the season, so please register while the March early bird discount is still active!

New and Prospective T-Bird Families: We will be at Monte Vista High School this Sunday, March 8th between 10am and 2pm if you're interested in chatting more about the T-Birds Football & Cheer program. Feel free to stop by!

✅ Action Needed: National Sports ID (NSID) Certification

Registered Football & Cheer Athletes: If you registered for the 2026 season, you are required to be certified by June 30th, 2026 to participate this season. This means you must make an appointment with your physician to submit the medical clearance form and follow NSID instructions on our certification page. 

On our Certification page, you must join the team link for your T-Bird athlete's specific team and certify them with the NSID process. Football athletes: Please join the age group you registered your child for even if you plan to have them try out for an Older/Lighter position later. The ✅ Green Checkmark will appear by your athlete's name once they are fully verified. NSID must be renewed every Football & Cheer season.

Do not wait to complete this. Your athlete will not be issued equipment in July and will not be able to practice if their NSID is incomplete.

T-Bird Games will be played on Saturday OR Sunday every weekend from mid-August to early November. Please plan for either day each weekend as game times and field availability are subject to change.

💪 2026 Strength & Conditioning

Last year, T-Bird parents asked how they could best support their athletes leading up to the new season. In 2026, the San Ramon Valley Thunderbirds Strength & Conditioning is fundamentally committed to fostering a high-intensity, structured, and safe training environment. Led by Coach Rincon, our mission is to prepare student-athletes for the physical demands of football by emphasizing proper technique and attention to proper nutrition and rest. We aim to build strong, confident, and resilient football players who take ownership of their physical and mental preparation, ultimately producing outstanding results in athlete development and performance. Contact us if interested in learning more:

🏈 Monte Vista Cheer Clinic

Come learn what one of the fastest growing female sports is all about! Our friends at Monte Vista Stunt are running a 2-day Cheer Clinic on April 13th and April 15th at Monte Vista High School. MV STUNT will be hosting its first annual Stang Youth STUNT Clinic. Clinics will be held on April 13th and 15th from 4:00pm-5:30pm. There will be a parent 101 session at 4pm on the 13th and a showcase on the 15th at 5:30pm. Last day to register is April 5th and space is limited. The Cheer Clinic price is $75.

Big News: T-Birds will sponsor the first 50 Cheer Athletes who register (must have cheered with T-Birds in 2025). Please indicate that you cheered with T-Birds last season when you sign up i.e., "Your Name (T-Birds Cheer Athlete)".

📚 Glazier Clinics - FREE Youth Coach Pass

Our mission is to provide the highest quality experience for our players through continuous coach training and skill development. To support this goal, we are excited to share that Glazier Clinics is offering a free youth football pass for 2026. This is an incredible opportunity for our coaches to access a nationwide network of clinics and an extensive digital library of coaching systems and drills at no cost. We encourage all our T-Birds coaches to take advantage of these resources to help sharpen our systems and elevate the game for our athletes. Select 'San Ramon Valley Thunderbirds' as the team during the FREE sign-up process.
