Happy Thursday, T-Bird Families!
We're getting close to the start of 2026 Registration and are ready to kick the season off next Sunday. We hope your T-Bird athlete is as excited as we are to welcome them to the program this season. We have some big things in store and can't wait to get it going.
🗓️ 2026 Registration
Both Football and Cheer Registration will officially open on March 1st at 10am PST. We encourage families to register early, as roster spots are limited and tend to fill quickly. This season, we are offering a $25 sibling discount to help families with more than one T-Bird athlete. We will also offer a $50 early bird discount for all T-Bird families who register before April 1st, 2026.

Effective leadership is critical to the success of our organization. Building on our January note, we are excited to welcome 3 new T-Bird Board Members for the 2026 season. T-Bird Games will be played on Saturday OR Sunday every weekend from mid-August to early November. Please plan for either day each weekend as game times and field availability are subject to change.

🏈 Monte Vista Cheer Clinic
Come learn what one of the fastest growing female sports is all about! Our friends at Monte Vista Stunt are running a 2-day Cheer Clinic on April 13th and April 15th at Monte Vista High School. MV STUNT will be hosting its first annual Stang Youth STUNT Clinic. Clinics will be held on April 13th and 15th from 4:00pm-5:30pm. There will be a parent 101 session at 4pm on the 13th and a showcase on the 15th at 5:30pm. Last day to register is April 5th and space is limited. The Cheer Clinic price is $75.
Big News: T-Birds will sponsor the first 50 Cheer Athletes who register (must have cheered with T-Birds in 2025). Please indicate that you cheered with T-Birds last season when you sign up i.e., "Your Name (T-Birds Cheer Athlete)".

Training for Next Season: Dr. Gary Yaeger and Mike Neal (Real Neal Sports) will be presenting “The Genetic Athlete.” We are excited to offer T-Bird athletes the opportunity to be the first group in the area invited to participate in the groundbreaking Genetic Athlete Training Program. This state-of-the-art program utilizes genetic testing to help guide the most effective training methods for each athlete, as well as nutritional protocols that support performance, recovery, and overall development. Genetics influence a wide range of traits, including muscle fiber type, height, and body composition. Research suggests that genetics account for approximately 30% to 80% of the variation in athletic ability. That said, training, nutrition, and psychological conditioning all remain critical components of athletic success.
During this session, we will provide a brief introduction to the program, explain what the genetic test reveals, and discuss how that information can be used to create a customized training plan for each athlete. The presentation will last approximately 30 minutes, followed by a Q&A session. The presentation will be recorded, and a Zoom option will be available for those unable to attend in person. A copy of the program flyer and sample genetic report are included. If you would like to attend via Zoom, please email us.

Last year, T-Bird parents asked how they could best support their athletes leading up to the new season. In 2026, the San Ramon Valley Thunderbirds Strength & Conditioning is fundamentally committed to fostering a high-intensity, structured, and safe training environment. Led by Coach Rincon, our mission is to prepare student-athletes for the physical demands of football by emphasizing proper technique and attention to proper nutrition and rest. We aim to build strong, confident, and resilient football players who take ownership of their physical and mental preparation, ultimately producing outstanding results in athlete development and performance. 📚 Glazier Clinics - FREE Youth Coach Pass
Our mission is to provide the highest quality experience for our players through continuous coach training and skill development. To support this goal, we are excited to share that Glazier Clinics is offering a free youth football pass for 2026.
