✍️ 2025 Thank You

Dear T-Bird Families,

As we wrap up our 2025 season and head into the holidays, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey we’ve shared over the last year. When I wrote to you at the start of the season, I spoke about the privilege of leading this organization. Now, looking back on what we accomplished together, that sense of privilege has only grown.

This year, we truly proved that it takes a village. From the muddy cleats and big cheers to the early mornings and late nights, your dedication made this season unforgettable.

2025 by the numbers: It was a banner year for the San Ramon Valley T-Birds. We grew our family to 375 athletes across 8 football teams and 7 cheer teams. We were supported by over 90+ volunteer coaches and countless parents who logged over 3,000 volunteer hours running the chains, staffing the snack shack, and managing game days.

On the field, our athletes showed tremendous grit. We hosted 9 home game days this year, and the results spoke for themselves: 7 of our teams made playoff appearances, with 4 advancing to the Semifinals. A special congratulations goes to our Pee Wee Premier team for their Turkey Bowl win!

More than just a game: While the scores are memorable, what makes me proudest is the character of our athletes. We strive to build young men and women who excel off the field as well.

  • Academic Excellence: We recognized over 150 Scholar Athletes who achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher during the season.

  • Leadership: We celebrated incredible role models like our T-Bird Pride Speakers—Jordyn Fucanan, Christine Harney, Andrew Quane, and Zach Belloni—who represent the passion and mentorship we value.

  • Heart: We honored the memory of Robert Orlando by presenting the "Pork Chop" Award to Tommy Westbrock for his passion, determination, and inspiration.

To our parents: You are the real MVPs. Thank you for trusting us with your children and for the endless support you give to this program.

To our Board: Your dedication to the T-Birds program is second to none and will keep these young athletes thriving for years to come. Thank you for the countless hours you sacrificed bringing the best versions of these athletes out each and every practice.

Looking ahead: We are already working hard for next year. To our incredible sponsors, your generous support and sponsorships allow us to keep our Football & Cheer experience top-tier. As mentioned last night, we are excited to announce that in 2026, we will be providing the Guardian Cap 2.0 for all Football athletes to ensure we remain at the forefront of player safety.

I also want to send a special thank you to our banquet sponsors who helped us celebrate in style last night. Sending a HUGE thank you to Bamville in Blackhawk Plaza for the amazing Scholar Athlete discounts and raffle prizes, and to LA ViE MD for the generous skin care gift basket. Please support these local businesses who support our kids!

💪 2026 Offseason Programs & Athlete Safety

Player Safety - A New Standard for 2026: At SRV T-Birds, safety is the foundation of our program, and we are proud to announce a major advancement for the upcoming season. Starting in 2026, every football athlete will be equipped with a Guardian Cap 2.0. This premier soft-shell helmet cover, used by NFL and college programs nationwide, is engineered to absorb impact energy and add a critical layer of protection for our players. These initiatives run alongside our policy requiring all Head and Assistant Coaches to be USA Football certified in Heads Up tackling techniques and CPR/First Aid training. Training for Next Season While the season has ended, the work continues. For athletes looking to stay active and gain a competitive edge, we have curated a list of local training programs and partnerships. This includes our new collaboration with The Genetic Athlete program—a DNA-based performance plan designed by Dr. Gary Yaeger and Real Neal Sports. 🏉 Oaks Rugby: The 2025-2026 Oaks Rugby Season is ready to kick off! The Oaks Rugby Club's mission is to provide youth in the Tri-Valley qualified instruction in rugby fundamentals and to engender a life-long love of the sport. Teams of varying levels of competition, from recreational (everyone welcome, all play in games) to highly competitive (highest-skilled players selected to play in games) are offered. Season runs December to March.

🥍 Scorpion Lacrosse: Football + Lacrosse = Perfect Combo Football builds power, toughness, and field vision. Lacrosse sharpens speed, agility, and hand–eye coordination. Together, they create multi-sport athletes who dominate in both arenas. Season runs February to May.
