2025 T-Birds Football and Cheer Registration

Dear T-Birds Parents and Supporters,

I want to welcome you to the 2025 San Ramon Valley Thunderbirds (T-Birds) Football & Cheer Season! This is the 67th year for the T-Birds, making us one of the longest-running youth sports organizations in the San Ramon Valley.

My name is Sean Janis, and I am incredibly honored to serve as the new President of this remarkable youth football and cheer organization. For the past two seasons, I've led our Pee Wee Novice boys as Head Coach. Last season, I also took on the role of Vice President. The T-Birds are a cornerstone of our community, and it is a privilege to work alongside so many dedicated families, coaches, and athletes who make this organization truly special.

Before diving into what’s to come, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the departing T-Bird Board members. Their exceptional dedication has laid the foundation for the continued success of our program. On behalf of the entire T-Birds community, thank you for everything you’ve done to shape this organization into what it is today.

Please be on the lookout for more updates in the coming weeks as we finalize details and prepare for a phenomenal season. In the meantime, don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or suggestions. Your input is invaluable as we work together to make this the best season yet.

Upcoming Dates

  • Saturday, March 1st, 2025 @ 10am PST: 2025 Football & Cheer Registration will open. Full registration links will open at this time and more information can be found on our T-Birds Registration page.
  • April (TBD): T-Birds family's question and information meeting. Virtual over Zoom.
  • Late May / Early June (TBD): We will host our optional Football Conditioning Camp. The exact dates and location are still being confirmed.
  • Saturday, July 12th (Tentative): T-Birds Day for Equipment pick-up.
  • Monday, July 14th: First day of Football (helmets) practice.
  • Tuesday, July 15th: First day of Premier Cheer practice.
  • Wednesday, July 16th: First day of Champion Cheer practice.


Upcoming Changes

  • Changes to the Competitive and Development divisions: Welcome to the Premier and Champion Leagues. Read more in the Registration FAQs section on the T-Birds website for what's changing at the East Bay Youth Football & Cheer (EBYFC) level around the Competitive and Development divisions.
  • Volunteer System: We heard your feedback last season. In 2025, we will be piloting a new volunteer system that allows T-Bird families to self-serve answers about their volunteer hours. The intent is to bring more transparency into tracked hours for season and game-level roles to minimize ambiguity at the end of the season.
